Jesus Rojas is running for Monrovia City Council with a focus on public service, community involvement, and bringing a new perspective to City Hall. As a first responder, Rojas says his experience has reinforced the importance of public safety, responsibility, communication, and serving the needs of residents. His campaign priorities include listening to community concerns and addressing issues that affect Monrovia residents across generations.

Rojas has identified public safety, parks, youth programs, and access to grant funding among his priorities. He also supports establishing a stand-alone senior center that would provide dedicated space, programs, and resources for Monrovia’s older adults. On economic issues, he has emphasized supporting local businesses and strengthening Monrovia’s local economy while helping create opportunities for businesses to grow and succeed.

Additional priorities include preserving Monrovia’s heritage and protecting the wildlife that has become part of the city’s identity, including well-known local bears such as Blondie. Rojas also supports term limits for City Council members, describing them as a way to encourage accountability and provide opportunities for new leadership and perspectives within city government.
